Travel Advisory Requiring Self-Quarantine of Visitors From COVID-19 Hotspots

Effective immediately per state-issued mandate, New Jersey has announced a joint-state travel advisory (along with New York & Connecticut) which imposes a self-quarantine requirement on travelers coming from any state where infections pass a certain level. The criteria for states that have a high infection rate are 10 infections per 100,000 residents on a seven-day rolling average or 10 percent or higher of the state’s total positive test rate on a rolling seven day average.

The order currently applies to nine states:

  • Alabama
  • Arizona
  • Arkansas
  • Florida
  • North Carolina
  • South Carolina
  • Washington
  • Utah
  • Texas

If you have immediate plan to vacation at one of our Club Boardwalk Resorts properties – Flagship, Atlantic Palace & La Sammana and are traveling from an area as defined above as impacted by this mandate, we strongly encourage you to cancel or reschedule your travel plans.

Should you wish to move forward with your reservation plans, please be aware as our exact requirements are unknown to us at this time as we have not been alerted by the State, the press is reporting our requirement may include a requirement to undergo a 14-day self-quarantine, at your own expense, possible fines for a violation of the quarantine and potential notification to the local Board Of Health or other State government agency regarding the arrival of anyone originating from a high-risk state or in violation of the quarantine.

As a result of this uncertainty as to what our full responsibility is under this mandate we must operate with vigilance for the safety of our current guests & employees, as well as in the best interest of our business. Thus, we will address any situation related to this matter under our own discretion until we are given further clarification or instructions. Therefore and at our own discretion, we believe the minimum we are required to do is notify of the potential of a possible quarantine, notification and/or fine could be a possible action needed as a result result anyone arriving into New Jersey from a designated high-risk state of origin. We will be updating this page once the state has made our responsibilities clear as to what will be required by us as a business operating under this mandate issued by the State of New Jersey .

To comply with New Jersey Governor Murphy’s ongoing mandate of Social-Distancing, until further notice Club Boardwalk Resorts has suspended both the creation of any future reservations as well as accepting any arrivals at our Resorts. While the situation is uncertain, we can confirm that we remain resolute in ensuring diligent guardianship of our Resorts.

We continue to closely monitor the World Health Organization (WHO) and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and as the situation evolves, we will adapt our policies to strengthen our future and ensure the safety of our Owners and Staff accordingly.

Since the exact date that our three resorts can resume accepting reservations and arrivals is unknown at this time, to avoid unnecessary cancellations, we are unable to accept any new owner rate or week reservations until further notice.

Further, as we review, on a weekly basis, reservations which will be immediately impacted by this mandate, we will continue to contact those Owners/Guests with upcoming reservations. In addition, Club Boardwalk Resorts has temporarily suspended all available resort amenities as well as some of our support business operations until further notice. These include:

  • Aqua Spa at Atlantic Palace
  • The Shoppe at Flagship Resort

While Club Boardwalk Resorts’ Customer Care has temporarily suspended inbound call center operations, we are able to offer modified service via email assistance with an anticipated 24 to 48 hour turn-around. Services at this time are limited to a) cancellation of a pending reservation(s) at your home resort; and b) processing deposits with Interval International and/or RCI for your 2020 Week or Points. If you have pre-paid or have completed a payment arrangement for your maintenance fee for 2021 or 2022, we are able to make your future deposit with your exchange company. To process or obtain information on a future Maintenance Fees or Mortgage Payment, request a deposit, and/or cancel an existing reservation only, email us at [email protected]. Please ensure that your exchange membership with RCI or Interval International is current to avoid any delays in processing. Deposits will only be processed for Owners in good-standing who are current on their maintenance fee and mortgage, if applicable. For bookings made with a travel agent, online booking platform or exchange company, guests are advised to contact the original agent, booking platform or exchange company directly.

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.

At Club Boardwalk Resorts, your safety is our top priority. To continually provide a comfortable travel experience throughout our properties, we are closely monitoring the COVID-19 coronavirus, and Center for Disease Control (CDC), to ensure that our procedures protect both our Resort Guests and Team Members.

Best practices instructed by the CDC for illness prevention:

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.
  • If anyone in your party becomes ill and has symptoms such as coughing, fever, or general malaise, please contact a medical professional; to reduce exposure, consider self-isolation until evaluated by medical personnel; immediately exit the facility; do not come into personal contact with others.
  • We encourage all Resort Guests to please be sure to have updated medical information and contact information for all minors’ parents or guardians that may not be present.
